The automotive industry has witnessed a remarkable transformation in recent years with the rapid development and adoption of electric vehicles (EVs). As we look to the future, innovative technologies are poised to make the next generation of electric cars even better, addressing current limitations and driving the transition to sustainable transportation.

2024 Honda Prologue

The 2024 Honda Prologue is going to be released sometime in early 2024. The Prologue will be Honda’s first electric vehicle sold in the US. It is an electric mid-size that will use GM’s Ultium battery pack. The Honda Prologue will start at around $45,000-$50,000 with a large 11.3-inch infotainment touchscreen. It will have a range of around 250-320 miles of range, based on the range of the Chevrolet Blazer EV. The Prologue will come in 4 models, EX, EX-L, Touring, and Elite.

2024 Acura ZDX

The 2024 Acura ZDX resembles the Honda Prologue and the Chevy Blazer EV. The ZDX will start at around $60,000.The 2024 Acura ZDX, powered by GM’s Ultium battery technology, boasts a 102.0-kWh battery pack akin to the Lyriq, offering a remarkable 325 miles of range in the A-Spec trim. The Type S variant provides 288 miles per charge. DC fast charging, with rates up to 190 kW, can add 81 miles to the A-Spec’s range in just 10 minutes. The entry-level A-Spec features a 340-horsepower motor driving the rear wheels, with an optional second motor for all-wheel drive. The sportier Type S comes with dual motors delivering a combined 500 horsepower, air suspension, adaptive dampers, Brembo brakes, and 22-inch wheels. Testing the ZDX will provide more insights soon.

2024 BMW i5

The 2024 BMW i5 is set to redefine the executive sedan experience with its electrifying performance and luxurious features. Positioned between the i4 and i7 models, the i5 offers two powertrains: the eDrive40 with 335 horsepower and the M60 xDrive, boasting a formidable 590 horsepower and all-wheel-drive capability. Having driven a prototype of the latter, we can attest to its impressive athleticism and advanced onboard technology. Equipped with an 84.3-kWh battery pack, the eDrive40 offers a commendable 295 miles of range, while the M60 model still impresses with 256 miles per charge. Quick DC fast-charging capabilities enable 10-80 percent charging in just 30 minutes. Inside, a sleek dashboard houses a 12.3-inch digital gauge display and a 14.9-inch infotainment touchscreen, featuring BMW’s user-friendly iDrive 8.5 interface. With Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, premium audio, wireless charging, and more, the i5 ensures a seamless and connected driving experience.

2024 Cadillac Celestiq

For those seeking a large luxury electric sedan, the Celestiq would be a great choice. Although only a handful of people will have the money to spend on this type of car, Cadillac will be releasing this sometime in early 2024. According to Cadillac, the starting price of the Celestiq will be “north of $300,000.” The Celestiq should have a battery big enough for a range of around 300 miles.

2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ

The 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ will be one of the best electric SUVs in the market. Starting at a bit of a high price, most likely ~$100,000, Cadillac will aim for around 450 miles of range. It will have 750 horsepower and 785 pound-feet of torque using a 200.0 kWh Ultium battery pack. It will have a 35.0-inch driver display, a 25.0-inch passenger screen, and an 11.0-inch screen for controlling the climate. There will be an option for the Executive Second Row chairs which have two 12.6-inch entertainment systems and an additional touchscreen.

2024 Chevorlet Blazer EV

Recently teased in the movie, Barbie, the Blazer will go all-electric in 2024. It will have a range of up to 320 miles, also using GM’s Ultium battery pack. It will start at $56,715 and will come in 5 different models. Chevy says that the SS model will hit 60 mph in just under four seconds.

The Blazer EV will come with all standard safety features. This includes automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, and lane-keeping assist. All models will include a large center infotainment screen that is 17.7 inches. There will be an 11.0-inch display for the driver too. It will have onboard Wi-Fi, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay.

2024 Chevorlet Equinox EV

The Chevy Equinox EV will be a little smaller than the Blazer and it will also most likely start at around $30,000. It will have around 250-300 miles of range but the models with AWD will not be offered as much as the Tesla Model Y. The Equinox EV will have almost all of the same technology as the Blazer EV since they are both on the same GM platform.

2024 Chevorlet Silverado EV

The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV will possibly start at around $50,000. It will have a range of up to a huge 450 miles, beating all Tesla vehicles selling today. It will be able to tow up to 10,000 pounds and it will have up to 754 hp. The Silverado will have some of the most key safety features standard with available lane-departure warning and assistance.

Audi Q6 e-tron


The Audi Q6 e-tron, positioned between the Q4 and Q8 e-tron models, expands Audi’s electric SUV lineup. Riding on the Porsche Macan EV’s PPE architecture, it features a 93.0-kWh battery for up to 315 miles. The 800-volt setup enables rapid recharging. With dual-motor all-wheel drive, the base model produces 375 horsepower, while the sportier SQ6 e-tron reaches 482 horsepower with a 20-hp boost mode. Impressively, the Q6 e-tron offers a comfortable ride and punchy acceleration during prototype tests. Production begins next year, and it will share the lineup with the gas-powered Q5 starting in 2025.

GMC Sierra EV

The upcoming GMC Sierra EV, GMC’s debut electric pickup, shares its roots with the Hummer EV but presents a more restrained option. Launching in early 2024, the Denali Edition 1 offers a powerful 754-horsepower all-wheel-drive system, a 400-mile range, and luxurious features for nearly $109,000. This top-tier model includes GM’s Super Cruise and Crab Walk-enabled rear-wheel steering. More affordable Sierra EV models are expected to follow in 2025.

Mercedes-Benz EQG

Mercedes-Benz is electrifying its iconic G-wagon with the introduction of the Mercedes-Benz EQG, showcased at the 2021 Munich auto show. This electric vehicle will feature a motor at each wheel, delivering four-wheel-drive capability. While specific details regarding pricing, range, and horsepower remain undisclosed, the EQG is anticipated to enter the market, likely next year, entering a unique niche as one of the few off-road electric vehicles. Positioned to compete with offerings like the GMC Hummer EV, the EQG is set to bring a blend of luxury and electric off-road capability to the market.

Polestar 3

The Polestar 3 SUV, set to hit the market in mid-2024, features a distinctive design akin to a grumpy spaceship. With a choice between a 489-horsepower dual-motor unit for a claimed 300-mile range or a 517-horsepower Performance model covering 270 miles, the Polestar 3 emphasizes performance. Notably, it marks Polestar’s first American-built car, produced in South Carolina alongside Volvo’s S60 and next-gen XC90 from 2024. Equipped with a 107-kWh battery pack, the Polestar 3 supports rapid DC-fast charging speeds of up to 250 kW.
