The automotive world is undergoing an electrifying transformation, and Mini is at the forefront with its latest offering, the 2025 Mini Cooper Countryman SE. This all-electric compact SUV promises to deliver a blend of performance, sustainability, and versatility that will set new standards in the segment.

Two Electric Variants: Countryman E and Countryman SE ALL4
Just like the Cooper hatchback, the Countryman will be available in two battery-electric versions: the Countryman E and the Countryman SE ALL4. Each variant offers a unique driving experience to cater to a wide range of preferences.
The single-motor Countryman E is no slouch, packing 150 kilowatts, roughly equivalent to 204 horsepower, and 184 pound-feet of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in 8.6 seconds, with a top speed of 105 mph.
For those seeking a more dynamic performance, the Countryman SE ALL4 is the choice. It incorporates a second electric motor, resulting in a combined power output of 230 kW (313 hp) and a substantial 364 pound-feet of torque. This configuration propels the SE ALL4 from 0 to 62 mph in just 5.6 seconds, with a top speed of 112 mph.

Impressive Range and Charging
Mini has prioritized range and charging capabilities to ensure that the Countryman SE is practical for daily use. Under ideal conditions, the Countryman E can cruise for an estimated 287 miles, while the SE ALL4 offers an estimated range of 269 miles. It’s important to note that these figures are based on the optimistic WLTP global test cycle, and the real-world range may vary.
Charging the Countryman is a breeze, thanks to its 22 kW AC charger, which is twice as fast as the Cooper SE’s. Additionally, it boasts a DC fast charging capacity of up to 130 kW, allowing for a rapid 10% to 80% charge in under 30 minutes. Although Mini hasn’t disclosed the exact battery capacity, it’s safe to assume that both variants share the same battery pack.
A Spacious Evolution
One of the most striking changes in the 2025 Mini Cooper Countryman is its size. This third-generation model is substantially larger than its predecessors, measuring 174.5 inches in length, 72.6 inches in width, and 65.2 inches in height. The wheelbase has also grown to 106 inches, accommodating larger wheels, some of which can be as large as 20 inches.
This expansion results in a more spacious interior, making the Countryman a suitable choice for families. There’s ample shoulder and headroom in both rows, and the cargo space is generous, with 16.2 cubic feet that expand to 51.2 cubic feet when the second-row seats are folded flat. Furthermore, the Countryman can tow up to 2,645 pounds with its electrically retractable trailer hitch, adding to its versatility.

Exterior and Interior Refinements
Externally, the Countryman retains the iconic Mini design but with a modern twist. The headlamps are more squared-off, setting it apart from its smaller sibling, the Cooper. Notably, the chrome beltline has been omitted, and the fender vent garnish has been moved to the C-pillar, adding a touch of sophistication.
Inside, the cabin showcases the Mini Operating System 9, featuring a round OLED display with physical switches below it. The eco-friendly, leather-free upholstery is complemented by Mini’s signature projection ambient lighting. Vertical dashboard vents and door pulls distinguish the Countryman’s interior from the Cooper’s, emphasizing its unique character.
A Step Towards Mini’s Electric Future
The 2025 Mini Cooper Countryman SE, along with the fifth-generation Mini Cooper, marks a significant leap toward Mini’s goal of becoming an all-electric brand by 2030. These vehicles represent Mini’s commitment to embracing the electric future while offering consumers a compelling and sustainable driving experience.
As Mini prepares for the launch of the Countryman and Cooper in the United States, more details regarding pricing, availability, and localized specifications will be revealed. The future of Mini is electric, and the 2025 Countryman SE is a remarkable step in that direction. Stay tuned for more information on this exciting addition to the Mini lineup.
